Peter Garrett         

Founding Director

Peter started his insurance career in 1965.  He is qualified by exam as an Associate of the Australian and New Zealand Insurance Institute, and has also been a Tutor and course author for the New Zealand Institute.

Peter experienced broking in the London market  late 1970's during his "OE", and subsequently, in 1983, formed Garrett Insurance Brokers Ltd based on Auckland's North Shore.  The brokerage was successful and grew in size, but after 23 years in the business, Peter and Jane sold that company in 2006.  Over the years, Peter became a marine cargo specialist and in 2004, saw a gap in the market for an online specialist cargo insurance underwriting agency. This led to ezimove.com Limited being founded, which was officially launched 2 March 2005.

Jane Garrett

Financial Controller     

Jane was a registered nurse and Mother at the time Garrett Insurance Brokers was formed in 1983, but nursing soon gave way to insurance broking.  In tandem with Peter, they built a thriving insurance brokerage, each complimenting the skills of the other.  Jane's forte is in running the "back office" and she does that particularly well. 

With the brokerage sold, but still working alongside Peter, she can now concentrate on the growth of ezimove.
